So just the fact that it has reallocated sectors doesn't mean the drive s bad. However, I have several drives here that have had a few reallocated sectors, and have run fine for years. Increasing reallocated sectors is one of the indicators that your drive is going bad. You need to keep an eye on the reallocated sector count (You can see the number of reallocated sectors in disk utility by displaying the SMART Data), and if they keep increasing, then replace the drive as soon as you can. Bad sectors can be normal wear, or they can happen when a drive is going completely bad. That should stop the popup notifications, but you may still see a warning on boot. There should be an option down at the bottom of that screen that says something like "don't warn if the disk is failing" or some such. Open disk utility, select the drive in the left hand pane. If you go into disk utility, I believe there is an option to not show the messages. Fedora just warns you of the error where Windows doesn't. Once a sector is reallocated, then it will run with problems. That error does not affect how the disk runs under Windows or Fedora.
